CHURCH OF OUR LADY ACROSS THE DYLE - MECHELEN, BELGIUM

THIS IS THE 2ND LARGEST CHURCH IN MECHELEN, BELGIUM.   YOU CAN SEE IT FROM FROM THE TOP OF THE TOWER OF ST. RUMBOLD.    UNFORTUNATELY, I CAN NOT FIND A LOT OF INFORMATION ABOUT THIS CHURCH.   I DO KNOW IT WAS BUILD DURING THE 14TH & 15TH CENTURIES.     BUT IT WAS A PLEASANT CHURCH TO SEE; VERY LIGHT AND AIRY.   I WISH I KNEW THAT AHEAD OF TIME BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE MADE A POINT TO TAKE A PICTURE.   I HAVE LEARNED THAT THE INTERIOR WAS ONCE MUCH MORE ORNATE UNTIL WORLD WAR II BOMBS DESTROYED IT.

I WONDER IF THESE HOLES ARE FROM BULLETS DURING THE WAR

THE FAMOUS REUBEN PAINTING, "MIRACULOUS DRAUGHT OF FISHES"
